Now that’s Community Outreach!

May 28th, 2010

Jerrolyn is one of the Team Newhart representatives for our Community Outreach program for Newhart Orthodontics. Recently she made a presentation at the College and Career Day at Robert E. Peary Middle School. It was a huge success!

Do you have a parent breakfast, career day or other event at your child’s school that you would like us to attend? Please contact Chris at our office to set up your school. Her email is chris@drnewhart.com. Her direct line is 1- 208-255-5505.

Don’t forget we donate many orthodontic cases each year through Silent Auctions, please contact us if you know of any Silent Auctions in our community that would like the gift of orthodontics as a prize.

Going Green at Newhart Orthodontics

May 20th, 2010

Here at Team Newhart Orthodontics we strive to be green and help keep the environment clean! We do your x-rays and photographs digitally to protect you and to protect the environment from harmful chemicals used to develop standard x-rays and film. We use non-toxic solutions for our orthodontic cleaners and we recycle whenever possible. Please make sure you have your email address on file with our office so we can communicate with you electronically and save a few trees.

Meet Shannon, Administrative Assistant at Newhart Orthodontics

May 14th, 2010

Hi, my name is Shannon. I’m an Administrative Assistant for Team Newhart and I coordinate many aspects of customer service in our office. One of the great things about orthodontics is getting to know patients so well. It’s rewarding to work with people throughout their treatment. I’m a foodie and in my spare time I’m into photography, contact hula-hooping, video games, hiking with my friends and spending time with my twin nieces along with the rest of my family. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Working with Patients with Special Needs

May 7th, 2010

At Newhart Orthodontics, we work with patients of all walks of life. This includes patients with special needs and/or disabilities. In our office we are able to take excellent care of most adults and children with disabilities. Part of our secret is to have spacious reception and treatment area with plenty of room.

In the specific case of autism we recommend that parents be present at all times during examination and treatment. We always send photos of the doctor and photos of the office to the home prior to the first visit. This allow the parent to begin to introduce us to the child before the first visit. With patience, most children can be treated.

If you or your child have specific needs, give us a call and find out how best we can accommodate them!
